• Information found: (The Ukrainian scouting movement, called Plast (which means scouting) was founded in 1911 in Western Ukraine, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but soon spread to Central Ukraine. After WWI Ukraine was partitioned among the USSR, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Rumania. During the late 1920s and the 1930s the growth of the Plast movement was severely curtailed and eventually abolished.
